The 12th edition of the International School on Hybrid and Organic Photovoltaics (Isophos) ended on 6 September 2018.
In Castiglione della Pescaia (Italy) four days of courses taught by experts in the field to researchers from all over Europe. An important opportunity for cultural and scientific exchange between people - physicists, chemists, engineers - belonging to different areas of scientific research.
Main topic the recent scientific and technological discoveries on eco-compatible materials for the creation of last generation solar panels. Results that are involved in important european projects, including the Graphene Flagship (project on the industrialization of graphene-based materials) and CHEOPS (project on the development of organic-inorganic hybrid solar cells).
At centre of the inaugural ceremony the speeches of Prof. Aldo Di Carlo and Prof. Francesca Brunetti on climate change and technological innovation deriving from the new frontiers of photovoltaics for the production of electricity.
Also took part: Lucio Cinà (CICCI Research srl - Italy); James Durrant (Imperial College London - United Kingdom); Vida Engmann (University of Southern Denmark - Denmark); Morten Madsen (University of Southern Denmark - Denmark); Eugene Katz (Ben-Gurion University of the Negev - Israel); Maria Laura Parisi (University of Siena - Italy); Adalgisa Sinicopri (University of Siena - Italy); Manuel Quevedo (University of Texas at Dallas - USA); Pavel Troshin (Skoltech - Russia); Sjoerd Veenstra (Solliance Solar Research - Netherlands).
