Profile

Giuseppina Polino was born in 1980. She graduated in Electronic Engineering at University of Rome "Tor Vergata" in 2011 after completing her thesis on "Deposition techniques of large area polymer solar cells" at research Center for Hybrid and Organic Solar Energy C.H.O.S.E.

Since November 2011 she is Ph.D. student in Telecommunication and Microelectronics engineering at C.H.O.S.E.

Research Activity

Her research activity on polymeric solar cells is focused on:

  • Characterization and realization of ITO-free BHJ through spray coating technique for the scaling up of polymeric solar cells

  • Evaluation of the degradation phenomena(ageing) of polymeric solar cells and hence to find the best material to encapsulate them and the technique to use it

  •  She have also carried out a preliminary analysis of BHJ's electrical characteristic by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy
  • Since April 2012, she also involved in a project with PPG industries Milan, Italy
